Bishop R.C. Pritchett Jr. was raised in the North & West Dallas projects. He is the prime example of overcoming life’s obstacles. He was raised in a single parent home along with 5 other siblings. He is a proud member of L.G. Pinkston High School Class of 1970.
 
In March 1972, Pastor Pritchett married his beautiful wife, the former Ms. Caroline J. Turner. Pastor & Sis. Pritchett celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary on March 25, 2017. Sis. Pritchett retired from the Department of Family and Protective Services after 23 years and 4 months. Sis. Pritchett’s passion is working with children and senior citizens in which she calls them “SALT SHAKERS.” They are the proud parents of  Raechell Bonds and Jerome Pritchett. They have a lovely daughter-in-law, Koekisa and the proud grandparents of Princeton and Olivia Pritchett.
 
In 1973, Pastor Pritchett received his certificate of ordination and certificate of license to become an ordained minister from the Love Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Corsicana, TX. There he served as an Associate Minister to the late Pastor Thomas A. Turner.
 
In 1974, Pastor Pritchett and his family united with the Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church. There he served as an Associate Minister. After Pastor Batty’s home going in November 1976, and on the third Sunday of December of 1976 Pastor Pritchett was elected as the new Pastor of Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church.
 
On April 6, 2005, Pastor Pritchett resigned as Pastor of the ZTMBC and was elected as Pastor & Founder of The Passion of Christ 1st Community Church.
 
Pastor Pritchett is a graduate of the Southern Bible Institute of Dallas, TX. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from the International Bible Institute & Seminary in Orlando, FL and a Master of Divinity from the Christian Bible College & Seminary of Independence, MO.
 

 

Pastor Pritchett retired with the Dallas County School in 2018 after 34 years of service.
